Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Workflow Coordinator to join our team specializing in Heavy Steel Structures Manufacturing and Fabrication. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the production workflow within our workshop. The Workflow Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and recording daily production activities across various departments, ensuring efficient order completion, and providing valuable insights through data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with production manager and department heads (Foreman /Supervisors) to understand project requirements, timelines, and priorities.
2. Monitor and document daily production activities, including material usage, work-in-progress, and finished product output.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each order’s progress through the manufacturing process.
4. Collect data on work performance, production delays, and other relevant metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
5. Analyze production data to determine average completion times for different types of orders and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency.
6. Generate detailed reports and data sheets using MS Office tools, presenting information in a clear and concise manner.
7. Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure that products meet established standards before progressing to the next stage.
8. Coordinate with the procurement team to track inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available for production as needed.
9. Support the implementation of process improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and reduce production lead times.
10. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address issues, provide updates, and facilitate smooth production transitions.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. 5+ years of experience with / diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or fabrication industry, particularly with heavy steel structures.
3. Strong proficiency in using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data recording, analysis, and reporting.
4. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data collection.
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with different departments and levels of staff. 6. Effective problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving workflow challenges.
7. Solid communication skills to convey complex data and insights to team members and stakeholders.
8. Familiarity with data analysis techniques and tools is a plus.
9. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
