The Procurement Senior Officer will oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for the execution of Emerge’s projects. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Monitor market trends to anticipate pricing movements and supplier opportunities.
Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, reliability, and delivery. Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage contract lifecycle from negotiation to renewal or termination. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials without overstocking.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements accurately.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental goals. Provide training and development opportunities for team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
